The Event

In June 2011, A Celebration of Friends, Inc. (ACOF), commemorated its tenth anniversary in beautiful Fort lauderdale. Six Hundred and seventy mature men came from third-four states, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Ecuador, Germany, India, Italy Ireland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela. Approximately 33% of those participants were from Florida.
The oldest participant was ninety-one years young while the youngest was twenty-two years old.
The average age fifty-nine years.
ACOF is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing yearly conventions or "Celebrations" for senior men and their admirers. The friendships and social connections of the participants, in many instances, span more than ten years. ACOF has provided contributions in excess of $144,000 to Broward County area non-profits including The South Florida Pride Center, Tuesday’s Angels Inc. and our newly formed non-profit "A Habitat of Friends, Inc. Ten thousand dollars were donated following this year’s event.
A Celebration of Friends, Inc. is proud to share an alliance with Prime Timers World Wide, The Caffmos Connection and The Mature Aussie Network. All who either maintain a Hospitality suite for their chapters or publicity tables during the Celebration
While Prime Timers World Wide maintained a Hospitality Suite during the Celebration, Publicity tables for our Australian and European counterparts (Caffmos & MatureAussie) were also represented. We are looking forward to an even bigger and more active Celebration next year 21 - 24 June 2012 at the same location!
